When Anne approached me to be involved with the Women of Forbes dinner party, I was honored and so excited. Her only request was that I use Black and White Anemones, my all time favorite flower! The dinner was intimate, set on a small yacht out of Marine Del Rey. I played with a blue, black, white and gray color palette to serve a nautical feel without being kitschy. I used berries, dusty miller, ranunculus and seeded eucalyptus for texture; each place setting was dressed with an Anemone and name tag. It was a beautiful night.

Santa Monica Styled Shoot

I had the pleasure of collaborating with JBJ Pictures for a styled shoot in Santa Monica. I love JB’s work! It is timeless and romantic without being over exposed and loosing detail. We had beautiful models, Marissa and Garret, who played “a couple in love” perfectly. The dress was provided by BHLD and I loved the fun detailed bodice! BHLD has such amazing dresses at fantastic price points! If you are in the market for a wedding dress, take a look there first, you’re guaranteed to find something you love. I wanted Marissa’s bouquet to be playful and feminine, the colors really complimented the pier perfectly! Make up and hair was done by Kohnur, a bridal beauty company, and Marissa wore Kendra Scott jewelry.

I created a tablescape on the beach with pink and gold accents. I created a low centerpiece in a compote bowl so as not to obstruct the amazing sunset views. I mixed china from Archive rentals and Anthropologie to give detail throughout, my favorite was the rose colored glass goblets! Inkchanted did calligraphy menus on linen. She is incredible and I always love her work! It’s amazing what can be created when so many facets of event design come together.
